Previous year's clubs ...
2016: Cave Quest
Holiday Club 2016 ran from Monday 25th July to Friday 29th July 2016. Children aged 4 to 12 were invited to experience Cave Quest - an over-the-top underground adventure, where they saw the rock-solid foundation of God's love, a love that helps us through life's dark times!
Games, singing, thought-provoking learning sessions, and of course food, were enjoyed each day from 9:30am to noon.
2015: Hometown Nazareth - reflections by Jackie Coles
Holiday Club 2015 transported over 70 children to 'Hometown Nazareth' where they heard about Jesus and participated in some of the activities He would have known as a child.
As the children arrived they met in tribal huddles, named after the 12 tribes of Israel, then joined in some lively worship. After this they spent the main part of the morning visiting: 'Mary's House' to hear all about Jesus; the 'Sport Centre' for fun and games; and the 'Market Place' where they enjoyed making beads, tie-dying bags, filling sand bottles and learning Hebrew words and writing.
They were frequently accosted by the Tax Collector! At the end of the morning they returned to their tribal huddles to talk about what they had found out, and then finished the morning with some more lively worship.
On Sunday a number of families joined in a celebration of worship, followed by a chip shop meal, bouncy castle and ice creams.
