Will you link with us?
Listening to people and meeting immediate physical needs such as providing a meal is one way of conveying the message that we value people.
But we want to do more!
Often our visitors need help with something, whether that's getting off the streets, help to battle addictions, manage finances, or help with health issues. Being ready to accept help, and knowing where to get help from, are the first steps to being able to change what may be a desperate, depressive situation.
So, our desire is to have external agencies operate a 'clinic' at the drop-in
so that in our neutral environment, people can take the first steps to engage with the help they need.
The national charity "Christians Against Poverty" and the Northampton "First for Wellbeing" social enterprise group both have a regular presence in the Drop-in. If you are an agency who works with homeless or vulnerable people, we would love to chat with you about the possibility of you having a regular presence with us.
If this sounds useful for your organisation, then click here to get in touch with our outreach worker Phil Brown to explore the possibilities.
