Our Message

What does this church want to say to you?

Simply, to help you think about the following four points: 01 The4Points Love  02 The4Points Sin  03 The4Points Cross  04 The4Points Decide

God loves me!

01 The4Points Love

These four points are a very simple overview of the Bible and the first thing you need to know is that God is crazy about you! His love for you is unlimited and completely unconditional. There is nothing you can do to make God love you any more or less than He does right now. There is nothing that God wants more than to love and be loved by you.

The Bible says in Psalm 100 verse 5:

For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; His faithfulness continues through all generations.

And in John chapter 3 verse 16:

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

I have sinned

02 The4Points Sin

Sadly we have been separated from God's love by something the Bible calls sin. Simply put, sin is when we choose to live for ourselves rather than God. We sin when we ignore God, break His laws and basically do things our own way. Sin destroys relationships with friends, with family and with God. The Bible says that sin ultimately brings death.

The Bible says in Isaiah chapter 59 verse 2:

But your iniquities have separated you from Your God; your sins have hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear.

And in James chapter 1 verse 15:

Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.

Jesus died for me

03 The4Points Cross

The third point is probably one of the most well known facts in the history of mankind but is often misunderstood. The key is to realise that the penalty for sin is death. We've all sinned and we all deserve to die. But God, who is full of mercy, loved you so much that He sent Jesus to come and die in your place. Jesus died, so that we can have eternal life.

The Bible says in Romans chapter 6 verse 23:

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

And in Romans chapter 5 verse 8:

But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

I need to decide to live for God

04 The4Points Decide

Not only did Jesus die for our sin, three days later He rose from the dead! Through His death and resurrection, Jesus has now made a way for us to have a relationship with God. All you need to do is accept you've sinned, ask for God's forgiveness and then decide to live the rest of your life only for Him. The choice is yours.

The Bible says in John chapter 14 verse 6:

Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."

And in 1 John chapter 1 verse 9:

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

A prayer you can say

Dear God, thank you that You love me and have a good plan and purposae for my life. I'm sorry for ignoring You and doing things my way. I realise now that my sin has hurt You and the people around me, and for this I'm truly sorry. Thank you Jesus that You gave Your life for me and took the punishment for my sin. Please forgive me and help me now, by the power of Your Holy Spirit, as I decide to live only for you. Amen.

What next?

Did you pray and mean the prayer written above?

Great! The next thing for you is to tell someone what you have done, and to pass on the good news to someone you know who doesn't yet know God. Click here to contact me and let me know you've decided to live for Jesus. It would be great to meet you where possible, and to help you meet others in the church.

Do you want more information?

If you want to know more about the Christian faith, the church or have any questions about being a Christian, click here to contact me. We can arrange to meet, where possible, and talk things through. It may be useful for you to come to an Alpha course which explores bits of being a Christian, what the church is, and who God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are. Or you may want to simply meet a few people first - we have many activities during the week and on Sundays where you can get to know people and ask questions.

We look forward to meeting you!

Planning your Visit

New to Church?

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church. But.....if it doesn't we are only a phone call or email away...or better still pop in to see us for a Sunday service. and ask your questions while you're here.

Key information about the church...

Where & when does the church meet?

Our Church meets every Sunday at 10:30am. (Always check the calendar for up to date information) Aim to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you get parked and seated in time for the service to start. There is a car park at the rear of the Church but it's VERY limited and not big enough to accommodate everyone so you'll also find parking on the streets around the Church or park at the Racecourse Park car park just a minute away and walk to us. There is always someone to greet you at the steps of the Church to make you feel welcome and help you find a seat.

We meet at:

147-155 Kettering Road
Northampton
Northamptonshire NN1 4BS

You can see a map on our contact us page

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. Our services are a maximum of an hour and a half and include singing, prayer, preaching and interaction from groups within the Church.

We are a diverse congregation with a mix of ages, nationalities and church experience - we have a healthy mix of traditional and modern music with piano, organ, and a 'house band' that can consist of drummers, guitarists, flute players, string and wind instruments (and the odd kazoo!) with singers to help lead us in worship.

We have embraced technology and have TV screens around the Church to help people follow the service and join in - if you want to! The lyrics to the songs are on the screens, ideal if Church is new to you.

Sunday Morning Service

Services begin at 10.30am. At the front of the church is a soft play area for children with bean bags, childrens tables and chairs and activity sheets they can colour and fill out to help them feel welcome and included. There is regularly a children's section early on in the service to help them engage as well as musical instruments they can play during the service.

On the fourth Sunday morning of each month we celebrate Communion.

At the end of the service you'll see the Prayer Team creating a space at the front of the Church for anyone wanting prayer. If you would like to receive prayer make your way over to a member of the Prayer Team and they will take time to talk to you and pray for and with you.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service so you'll have plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What happens to the kids at church?

At an appropriate point in the service the children and young people go to their groups. All group leaders are DBS checked and we operate a 'Safe to Grow' policy to ensure good child care. You can, of course, keep your children with you throughout the service.

We have a fantastic programme for the kids at the Church for:

Sparklers (Age 2 and under)
Children under 2 are in the creche room which is especially designed for babies and toddlers so you can leave their child with peace of mind. There are toys and age appropriate activities in our beautifully bright and colourful creche. You are welcome to stay with your child if you prefer, feed newborns in peace and listen to the service over the speakers at the same time!

Ignite (3-11 years)
Children explore who God is through creative prayer, games, crafts and discussion. You are always welcome to join us to find out more about what we do! or for more information contact Stephanie Muncherji at the Church office.

Rock Solid (11-18's)
If God's a real person, not just a myth, what does He think about poverty, racism, relationships...? Rock Solid asks life's big questions!
Meeting on Sunday mornings with the aim of teaching and discipleship, it is always a lively time with plenty of conversation. The group is also the starting point for the planning and studying for youth-led church services.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all! You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
If you want to see what happens in our services you can watch them online here
